Birchgrove is the UK’s leading provider of rental retirement homes, established in 2017. Our mission is to fill a crucial gap in the housing market by offering high-quality, purpose-built assisted living apartments for rent. Designed for people in later life (typically 80+), Birchgrove communities provide an ideal option for those who wish to downsize, enjoy a more manageable home, and live in a secure, social environment without the burdens of homeownership.
Birchgrove’s retirement communities feature on-site support, shared amenities, and a unique rental model that allows residents to rent modern, thoughtfully designed 1, 2, or 3-bedroom apartments without long-term contracts. We currently operate five vibrant communities across the South-East, housing over 200 residents and employing a dedicated team of 100+. With two new communities launching in 2025, we are expanding around the M25 to meet growing demand.
